On Thanksgiving morning, we noticed that Cale had some trouble catching his breath during a crying episode. We mentioned it to our nurse and was told he would be watched. During Cale's circumcision, he turned blue in the lips twice and the nurses noticed that his oxygen levels dropped slightly but would then go back up to an optimum level. After the nurses and doctors conferred with us, the decision was made to send Cale to Neonatel ICU (NICU). He would spend 48 hours in NICU. We were still able to see him and hold him and even feed him thoughout the day ... he was just being monitored and having test ran to discover what was occuring and if anything needs to be done.
We are so thankful to have a healthy son. He is so much fun and we are truly blessed to have him. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. We are excited about the days ahead and the journey that we are beginning to take as a family of three!
