On Katie's very first Mother's Day, we had a special moment at our church called "Parent-Child Dedication." It is based on 1 Samuel 1:27-28, which says "For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. Therefore, I also lent Him to the Lord; as long as he lives, he shall be lent to the Lord."
It was a time that we were able to pray for Cale as a church. We prayed that he would come to know Jesus in an intimate relationship and become a Godly man. We also prayed that Katie and I would raise Cale according to God's ways. Cale's grandparents, aunt & uncle, and a great-grandma came down for the weekend. We had a wonderful time!
